If you are traveling by, why not stop by Orebed Ponds. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Higley Flow State Park is a splendid place to camp, and what would winter be without some skiing at McCauley Mountain. Go for a hike on the Post Henderson Trail, and Allen Brook is near Orebed Ponds and is always a bliss to go to. The amount of rainfall that falls at Orebed Ponds is close to the national average; most of the rain falls during August,

After a long day outdoors Best Western University Inn is a tremendous place to spend a night or two, and this is a popular location for folks from Ogdensburg-Massena. Good hiking is available along the Sixmile Creek Trail. So many amusing things in the Adirondack Mountains, just tremendous. in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Orebed Ponds temperatures sink to the 0's. And that's not all the things
you can do here in the Adirondack Mountains. Don't leave Orebed Ponds without first going for a hike along the The Loop; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Grass River - Middle Branch.
So much fun stuff to do here at Orebed Ponds, too glorious to be true. You get a fine vista of Huftle Hill from Orebed Ponds, and swamps are interesting spots and Berry Swamp near Orebed Ponds is no exception. Orebed Ponds is located in the Adirondack Mountains.
