    Many people like to go to Onderdonk Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Lots of people from Albany-Schenectady-Troy come to Onderdonk Lake, and you can run the rapids of Basic Creek. The amount of rain that falls at Onderdonk Lake is close to the national average; June is the wettest month with most rain while February is typically the driest month. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Catskill Mountains. There's whitewater  
   on Ten Mile Creek for all you adrenaline people; camping at Onderdonk Lake is brilliant fun, Woodstock Lake Assn-office is a brilliant local campground.
Windham Mountain has good slopes and a friendly staff, and a splendid close by hotel is Shamrock House. Thompson's Lake State Park is a glorious campground here, and if you need a place to stay Kilcar is a good choice. The Catskill Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
And if that's not enough, there's
 
               plenty more to do near Onderdonk Lake. Hit the slopes at Hunter Mountain nearby. All through the days of summer highs here at Onderdonk Lake get into the 70's. All through the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Onderdonk Lake.
