All the outdoors enjoyable stuff in the Adirondack Mountains will keep you coming back repeatedly. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Olmstead Pond has to offer, you can camp at Robinson's Iga, and there are brilliant sites to explore along the The Loop. You get a splendid panorama of Cat Mountain from Olmstead Pond, and going for a hike on the Sixmile Creek Trail is always a great adventure. For the duration       of the warm days of summer, highs typically are in the 70's at Olmstead Pond, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are regularly in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Olmstead Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Eskar Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop by, and Oswegatchie River - East Branch has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot close by. Now, you may imagine that's a heap but there's even more                  fun stuff to do here at Olmstead Pond. There's so much to do here at Olmstead Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Browns Tract Pond State Campground is a great location for that; you can go for a hike on the Ash Pond Trail. From a rain point of view Olmstead Pond is a reasonably normal location; August is the month that gets the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Olmstead Pond is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains. If you're here at Olmstead Pond, do take a spree to Black Duck Hole, and what would winter be without some skiing at McCauley Mountain.
