     New York has many beautiful lakes and The Old Fly is one of them. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll have a thing about The Old Fly. Lakes are perfect; Summit Lake is a lake that's near The Old Fly; there's whitewater on Batten Kill River for all you adrenaline kick people. The Old Fly commonly gets a good deal of rain; May is the month that gets the most rain, and February is when it's the driest.
High temperatures at The Old Fly during the
 
   summer months are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's while The Old Fly nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Lauderdale Campgrounds is a nice campground nearby; if you need a site to stay Glens Falls/Queensbury Super 8 Motel is a great choice. A good vista of pretty Stewart Hill is available from The  
               Old Fly; you can run the rapids of Fish Creek.
This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Willard Mountain close by, and you can stay the night at Battenkill Sportsquarters Camping. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Peat Swamp is right nearby; you're sure to run into some friendly people from Glens Falls here. Six Flags Great Escape Lodge is a fine place to get some rest, and West Mountain is a very popular ski area nearby.
Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out close by Carter Pond, and Battenkill Country Club is a golf course close by.
