The high level of precipitation makes The Old Fly a relatively wet spot; May is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month is February. There are some good whitewater spots on Fish Creek, and The Old Fly is a good place to camp, Lake Lauderdale Campgrounds is a good place. So many exciting things next to The Old Fly, simply phenomenal. Near The Old Fly you hit upon a golf course called Battenkill       Country Club, and swamps don’t sound that great but Peat Swamp close to The Old Fly is pretty great. If you need a place to stay Queensbury Hotel is a good choice; get yourself into a kayak and hit Batten Kill River. This lake is so wonderful. Stewart Hill is painless to spot from The Old Fly. You'll need more than a day to look at everything The Old Fly has to offer, you can camp at Battenkill Sportsquarters Camping. The Old Fly is not the only place nearby,                  Summit Lake is a nearby lake, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Willard Mountain while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Americas Best Inns-Glen Falls/Queensbur is a delightful place to get some rest. At The Old Fly throughout the summertime highs are in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at The Old Fly temperatures descend to the 0's.
