    If you are in Greene county it's always a good idea to stop by Notch Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Catskill Mountains. For the duration of the warm days of summer at Notch Lake temperatures are usually in the 70's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Notch Lake. A day on the slopes of Windham Mountain is just what you need, and Notch  
   Lake is right by the Phoenicia Trail.
If you want a magnificent time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Catskill Mountains. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Notch Lake; Spruceton Trail is a pleasant local trail, and you can stay the night at Kenneth L Wilson Camp Site. Nearby lakes? Sure, Dolans Lake is near Notch Lake, and the snow is splendid at Hunter Mountain. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things next to Notch Lake. Get soaked
 
               paddling on East Kill River, and while you're here you can play some golf at Colonial Country Club.
This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Hotel Vienna is a good choice, and glide down the rapids of Saw Kill River in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here, you might as well have a look at Becker Hollow, and the Willow Trail offers hiking at its best. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. The fine folks of Kingston like to hang out nearby.
Yep, outdoors entertaining stuff truly is abundant here in the Catskill Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Hotel Mountain Brook, and you're perhaps keen on lakes, Grill Lake is one of those nearby. Devils Tombstone is an out of the ordinary thing to spot while you're here at Notch Lake. There's so much to do here at Notch Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Phoenicia Black Bear Campground & RV Park is a tremendous location for that. The annual rainfall here at Notch Lake is about average; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is the month with the least moisture.
