Do stop by Notch Lake while you're in this part of New York. Don't leave Notch Lake without first going for a hike along the Spruceton Trail, and Saw Kill River has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot close by. The Catskill Mountains scenery is always beautiful. All the outdoors entertaining things close to Notch Lake will keep you coming back time and again. While you're here at Notch Lake you will meet lots of folks from nearby Kingston. Just can't get enough

| | of the Catskill Mountains. Lakes? Sure, Grill Lake is in the neighborhood, and you can hit the slopes at Hunter Mountain in the vicinity. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Notch Lake has to offer, you can camp at Kenneth L Wilson Camp Site; not far from Notch Lake you'll locate Dolans Lake which is a delightful lake. a fine place to go to. And if that's not enough there's plenty more exciting things to do in the Catskill Mountains. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Notch Lake; Phoenicia Trail is a good local trail, and Hotel Mountain
Brook is a great place to get some rest. From a rainfall point of view Notch Lake is a reasonably typical spot; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; the driest of the months is February. All through the warm
days of summer at Notch Lake highs are mostly in the 70's, and the nighttime is rather colder of course, ordinarily in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Notch Lake.
If you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on East Kill River, and after a long day outdoors Hotel Vienna is a fine location to spend a night or two. Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place!
Notch Lake is peerless! There's great hiking along the Willow Trail, and Devils Tombstone is a fine site to check out while in the region. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Notch Lake that you need to camp here
for a while, Phoenicia Black Bear Campground & RV Park is a great location for that; the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Windham Mountain.
