A magnificent place to camp here at North Pond is Covered Bridge Campsite, and why not take a little visit to Hunter Brook since you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Hunter Lake Campgrounds; a pleasant close by hotel is Howard Johnson Inn Liberty NY. This lake is so wonderful. Skiing at Belleayre is one of those things you just have       to do. The Seager West Branch Trail is a delightful hiking trail in the neighborhood of North Pond, and Bald Mountain is a peak you can see from North Pond. For the period of the summertime at North Pond highs are typically in the 70's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs all through the winter are commonly in the 30's with temperatures at North Pond dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. North Pond is a wet place                  that gets a great deal of rainfall; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February. Having a delightful time in the Catskill Mountains is painless. If you crave a little side visit, try Frog Hollow; Days Inn Liberty is a perfect place to get some rest. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the Catskill Mountains has to offer. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Holiday Mountain while you're here, and lakes are such calm locations, why not go to Hunter Pond. Drift down the rapids of Mill Brook in a kayak, and you'll find a lovely lake called Cranberry Pond.
