Why not explore close by Golden Stair Creek since you're here at North Lake, and get covered with water paddling on Black River. Hit the slopes at McCauley Mountain in close proximity, and North Lake is a pleasant location to visit for more than one day, Nicks Lake Campgrounds is a pleasant location to camp nearby.       Yeah, come up here to the Adirondack Mountains for a perfect time. Don't leave North Lake without first going for a hike along the Forty Mountain Trail; if you need a site to stay Knights Inn Little Falls is a delightful choice. High temperatures at North Lake during the summer are in the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for North Lake.                  This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Party Trail. A lake close by is Chamber Lake, and Cool Mountain is clearly visible from North Lake. All the outdoors exciting things in the Adirondack Mountains will keep you coming back persistently. You'll need more than a day to look at everything North Lake has to offer, you can camp at OLD Forge Camping Resort, and Mud Pond is a nearby lake that you could pop by. North Lake is a wet spot that gets a great deal of precipitation; August is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture. That right there is a lot already, but it goes on; North Lake has it all.
