For the period of the warm months highs here at North Lake reach the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at North Lake plunge into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Put some time aside to spend at Kaaterskill Falls while you're here at       North Lake, and Plattekill Creek is a magnificent whitewater spot close by. There is a perfect hiking trail in close proximity to North Lake called the Willow Trail, and if you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Beaver Kill River. And that's not all you can do here at North Lake. Do check out South Lake in the neighborhood of North Lake, it's a beautiful lake, and after a long day outdoors Hotel Mountain Brook is a perfect                  place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Rip Van winkle Campgrounds is a good campground nearby, and pleasant skiing awaits you at Hunter Mountain. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Catskill Mountains. Here at North Lake you can spot North Mountain. But wait, there's more amusing stuff to do in the Catskill Mountains. If you're popping by North Lake from Kingston, you won't be the only one, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Windham Mountain. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the area close to North Lake has to offer. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Saugerties; the Spruceton Trail is a pleasant hiking trail close by. Pine Hollow Campgrounds And Pine Hollow Estates is a fine local campground, and Artists Rock is an exciting spot to check out while at North Lake. North Lake gets a normal amount of precipitation; throughout May this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. While you're here at North Lake, you could also visit striking Saugerties Reservoir, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Rip Van Winkle Country Club. Having a perfect time in the Catskill Mountains is painless. Near North Lake you locate the Phoenicia Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail, and a great spot is Hillyer Ravine.
