North Branch Lake is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at McCauley Mountain if you're here. And if that's not enough there's a load more fun stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. There's so much to do here at North Branch Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Adirondack Gateway       Campground is a good place for that, and going for a hike along the Party Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. This lake is so wonderful. Drift down the rapids of Black River in a kayak. Lakes are perfect; Cotton Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to North Branch Lake. For the period of the summer months at North Branch Lake temperatures are regularly in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 50's. The wintertime comes                  with highs in the 20's with temperatures at North Branch Lake dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things near North Branch Lake. On a magnificent day you can check out Middle Branch Marsh, a swamp close to North Branch Lake, and you can have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Twin Lakes Trail. North Branch Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Middle Branch Little Black Creek is a tremendous local stream, and if you come at the right time of year, Black River - South Branch offers some perfect whitewater. Now, you may believe that's heaps but there's even more enjoyable things to do here in the Adirondack Mountains. If you came to camp Trails End is a tremendous place to do that, and if the weather is wonderful, you can go for a hike along the Forty Mountain Trail.
