So many enjoyable things in the Adirondack Mountains, just inspiring. Little Black Brook has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby, and if you came for an overnight stay North Pole Campground is a great place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Newberry Pond; Southside Trail is a glorious local trail, and whitewater paddling is tremendous on Black River. Newberry Pond gets a normal       amount of precipitation; throughout the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February. For the duration of the summer at Newberry Pond temperatures are generally in the 70's. During the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Newberry Pond dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. There are plenty of people from Plattsburgh here at Newberry                  Pond; a nice nearby hotel is Whiteface Produce Potter & GFT. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. Camping at Newberry Pond is delightful fun, Lake Placid/Whiteface MT KOA is a delightful local campground; there's great hiking along the Schwartz Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things in the Adirondack Mountains. Don't leave Newberry Pond without first going for a hike along the Silver Lake Mountain Trail, and if you need a location to stay Ledgerock Motel is a splendid choice.
