Having a tremendous time at Muskrat Pond is uncomplicated. After a long day outdoors Lake View Motel is a magnificent spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend       East Canada Creek, and a tremendous place to camp here at Muskrat Pond is Cooperstown Beaver Valley Campground. This is a popular site for people from Oneonta, and for you golfers we recommend close by Meadow Links Golf Course. The top of Fitch Hill is easily seen from Muskrat Pond, and a pleasant close by hotel is Green Apple Inn. The yearly rain here at Muskrat Pond is about average; through June this area sees the most rain while February is typically                  the driest month. Through the warm months at Muskrat Pond temperatures are frequently in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's.
