    Go to Muscoot Reservoir if you want to go to a nice lake. This lake is so wonderful. Lots of people from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown come to Muscoot Reservoir, and Muscoot Reservoir is not the only site nearby, Cross River Reservoir is a nearby lake. Muscoot Reservoir sees pretty high levels of rain; the wettest month of the year is commonly May, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is January. Some of the water nearby flows, like  
   Angle Fly Brook; Muscoot Reservoir is a good location to visit for more than one day, Camp Kiwi is a good location to camp nearby.
Not far from Muscoot Reservoir you obtain some great water scenery at Muscoot Dam, and Holiday Inn Mt. Kisco (Westchester Cty),Ny is a splendid site to get some rest. On a glorious day at Muscoot Reservoir you can take a hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail; you can stay the night at Clarence Fahnestock State Park.
 
               Just can't get enough of Muscoot Reservoir. After a long day outdoors Wellesley Inn Armonk is a delightful site to spend a night or two, and enjoy a round of golf at Glenarbor Golf Club.
Summertime at Muscoot Reservoir comes with high temperatures in the 80's; the overnight is rather colder of course, generally in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Muscoot Reservoir dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Muscoot Reservoir, you could also pop by nearby Lake Marie; you can never get enough of the nice skiing at Thunder Ridge.

Do you have any pictures of camp henry?  My father went there in the 1920's.  The land was sold a while ago and now has a housing development on it....Lillian Wald had a camp on secor lake .Camp Henry.i am fortune enough to have been born on the block where Lillian started the henry street settlement. I am a 49yr who spent 10 summers of my life on lake secor 67-76..Actually I live in the settlement for 3 1/2 yrs. Amazing!...

... the people of the surrounding lk. There were none on the east side of the lake at the time. Well we would collect our Christmas trees around fifty or so and dig them into the ice about forty ft apart and make two rows . Then we would all set a time and light em,, and we would skate , fish ,whatever the lines of trees ran from the n.west dock to the east..the clam bakes were held at the other lk..haven just up the stream that ran along my house..After the dam broke from lk haven the water flooded down into our house..What a flood..seems after that we sold the house to a fireman ,,and then our course by accident the house burnt down ,,and I thought fireman were supposed to put out fires not start em .hello to all that still prevail on chestnut ridge. yea I also went to school with Henry Winkler.. And back then we used to trick or treat all the way down to route six..camp sycamore well I still have my green card with the red paper wonder if its still good..the camp was but a lake with a cottage or two..and a cool as heck dirt road..I went to Austin rd elem.my age now is forty nine, and...
