There's whitewater on Rondout Creek for all you adrenaline junkies, and why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Shawangunk Country Club. A swamp like Cedar Swamp in the neighborhood of Murrays Pond has lots of exciting things to see, and you're sure to stumble upon some good people from Kingston here. All the water falling down       from the sky makes Murrays Pond a wet location; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Get your heart beating on the pleasant whitewater of Vernooy Kill River; Murrays Pond is right by the Vernooy Falls Trail. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Murrays Pond. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's, and nighttime                  lows in the 10's for Murrays Pond. This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous location to camp here at Murrays Pond is Indian Lake Camp; hiking along the Kanape Jeep Trail is tremendous fun. A good nearby hotel is Nevele Grande Resort. That right there is a lot already, but it carries on; Murrays Pond has it all. Lake Maratanza is a nearby lake that you could go to, and a day on the slopes of Mt. Peter is just what you need. This lake is so wonderful.
