At Murrays Pond during the summertime months highs are in the 70's; the nighttime is a little cooler of course, generally in the 50's. Highs through the winter are typically in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Murrays Pond through the winter typically descend into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. A lake nearby is Pinebush Lake, and after a long day outdoors Erie Restaurant is a perfect spot to spend a night or two. This       lake is so wonderful. What would winter be without some skiing at Mt. Peter, and Jeronimo Hotel is a brilliant place to get some rest. Glide down the rapids of Vernooy Kill River in a kayak, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Comfort Trail. And if you're still looking for more outdoors enjoyable stuff just keep reading. While you're here at Murrays Pond you can play some golf at Shawangunk Country Club. There's so much to do here at Murrays Pond                  that you need to camp here for a while, Wanderwood Camp Ground is a delightful spot for that. Murrays Pond is a wet site that gets a large amount of rainfall; May is the month that gets the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. This is a popular location for folks from Kingston; on a nice day you can take a hike along the Vernooy Falls Trail. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Cedar Swamp is right nearby; the Kanape Jeep Trail is a splendid hiking trail nearby.
