Be careful coming to Mudhole Pond, you might not ever wanna return back home again. Moose River - Middle Branch is a delightful whitewater spot in close proximity to Mudhole Pond. There's so much to do here at Mudhole Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Moose River Camp Grounds is a great location for that. This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes       of nearby Snow Ridge. Yeah, come up here to the Adirondack Mountains for a good time. You can run the rapids of Moose River near Mudhole Pond, and McCauley Mountain is a very popular ski area around here. High temperatures at Mudhole Pond throughout the summertime months are in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. Highs all through the winter are regularly in the 20's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Mudhole Pond drop                  into the 0's. If you need a place to stay Stillwater Motel is a magnificent choice; there's great hiking along the Twin Lakes Trail. Mudhole Pond is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains. Be careful coming to the Adirondack Mountains, you might not ever wanna return home again. Good hiking is available along the Forty Mountain Trail, and you're probably hooked on lakes, Copper Lake is one of those nearby. The amount of rain that falls at Mudhole Pond is close to the national average; the month with most of the rain is August while February is mostly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Brantingham Inn Motel is a brilliant site to spend a night or two, and you can go for a hike on the Stone Dam Trail.
