This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. Having a wonderful time at Mudhole Pond is trouble-free. Lakes? Sure, Pine Lake is close by, and there are nice sites to look at along the Forty Mountain Trail. Throughout the warm days of summer at Mudhole Pond highs are mostly in the 70's. Summer night lows fall down       to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Mudhole Pond. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Little Pine Lake, and needless to say Middle Branch Pine Creek flows through this area. Mudhole Pond is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Moose River Camp Grounds is a tremendous local campground, and get soaked paddling on Moose River - Middle Branch. This lake is                  so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Snow Ridge since you're here, and going for a hike on the Stone Dam Trail is always a great adventure. But wait, there's more enjoyable stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. What would winter be without some skiing at McCauley Mountain, and don't leave Mudhole Pond without first going for a hike along the Twin Lakes Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Adirondack Mountains. Whitewater paddling is brilliant on Moose River.
