After a long day outdoors Holiday Motel & Restaurant is a wonderful site to spend a night or two. Camping at Mud Pond is great fun, Idlewood-on-the-lake is a great local campground, and the summit of Brantling Hill       can be made out from Mud Pond. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Mud Pond. For the period of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Mud Pond temperatures dip to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Marriott Don, and drift down the rapids of Flint Creek in a kayak.
