    Why not stop by Mud Pond if you're passing through these parts. Mud Pond gets a normal amount of annual rain; the month with most of the rain is August; January on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on La Chute River; a delightful nearby hotel is The Sagamore. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up. If you need a place to stay Ticonderoga  
   - Super 8 Motel is a tremendous choice; you'll possibly meet some folks from Glens Falls here.
Now, you may believe that's plenty but there's even more amusing things to do here in the Adirondack Mountains. The Bear Pond Trail is a delightful hiking trail in close proximity to Mud Pond, and a magnificent view of charming Moore Hill is available. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby Clark Hollow is a glorious place to go if you're at Mud Pond, and why not camp
 
               at Green Acres By The Brook since you're here at Mud Pond. Camping at Mud Pond is wonderful fun, Brookwood Park Campsite is a wonderful local campground, and it's a nice idea to stop at Sucker Brook.
Whohoo, so many entertaining things in one place! The Adirondack Mountains rules! Whitewater paddling is wonderful on Putnam Creek, and on a pleasant day you can take a hike along the Berrymile Pond Trail. While you're here at Mud Pond you can take a hike along the Lost Pond Trail, and if you're here you have to stop by Burnt Point.
Mud Pond is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains. High temperatures at Mud Pond all through the summer are in the 80's with night lows in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Mud Pond.
