Lakes are such serene sites, why not explore Cossayuna Lake in the vicinity of Mud Pond; paddling on Batten Kill River is so much fun. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Get soaked paddling on Mettawee River. There's so much to do here at Mud Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Battenkill Sportsquarters Camping is a brilliant site for that.       This lake is so wonderful. There are other spots here than Mud Pond, for example Barkley Pond, and a day on the slopes of West Mountain is just what you need. Head up to Willard Mountain and strap some skis to your feet, and if you need a place to stay Glens Falls Lake George Red Roof is a wonderful choice. Mud Pond usually gets a good deal of rainfall; through the month of May you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least                  amount of precipitation. High temperatures at Mud Pond through the summer are in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Mud Pond. This lake is so wonderful.
