    Mud Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. An average amount of rain falls at Mud Pond; the wettest month of the year is typically August, that's the one that rains the most, and February meanwhile is the driest month. In the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Thirteenth Brook, and if you came for an overnight stay Camp Dippikill Office is a nice spot to camp. This lake is so wonderful.  
   Gore Mountain is a great local ski area, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Oregon Trail.
You just can't envision the amount of outdoors fun things the Adirondack Mountains has to offer. Balm of Gilead Brook has a perfect whitewater paddling spot nearby, and you'll stumble on a gorgeous lake called Second Pond. Having a delightful time in the Adirondack Mountains is trouble-free. Bog Meadow is a pretty spot any time of year, and do go to
 
               Botheration Pond, it's a pretty lake. This is no site for people who don’t like to have fun. Eleventh Mountain is simple to spot from Mud Pond, and hey, Halfway Brook is a delightful local stream.
If you need a site to stay Lake George/Warrensburg Super 8 Motel is a fine choice, and Smoke Rise Campsites is a magnificent campground nearby. At Mud Pond all through the summer highs are in the 70's, and the nighttime is a tad colder of course, regularly in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Mud Pond. This lake is so wonderful.
The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
