Have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Vernooy Falls Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Vernooy Kill River. Summertime highs at Mud Pond frequently tend to be in the 70's while nighttime lows are regularly in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are typically in the 20's; night lows in the 10's for Mud Pond. Mud Pond       sees pretty high levels of precipitation; May is when you get the most rain here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Take a hike on the Comfort Trail; there's whitewater on Rondout Creek for all you thrill seekers.
