Raft??? First off, I cant see raft going through box canyon. It might be possible, but I wouldn't want to see someone I care about be the first. After the box, downstream of the route 6 bridge, you would need a lot of rain, I mean an awful lot of rain to get through the flat water section. Personally, I do some tough runs (CL4+) and I'm not sure I'd wanna be there with that much water. With plenty of water, medium level, we were scraping a lot in the flat water section. Also, in the canyon, if someone gets hurt, they are in for a bad day. This is evident by looking at a typo map or looking down from route three bridge. ''outside the state you might find the rivers here are more forgiving''. My travel for White Water is limited: NY, NJ, MA, CT, WV, MD, VT, NC. Never been out west. With my limited experience the above states and PA and 5 years kayaking including winter, I have no clue what the above quote means. Ratings CL1-5 (6 being a rating meaning it might not be runable), while far from perfect is a pretty good indication of water difficulty. Don't paddle here unless you know wha...

The facilities are well maintained, and they offer both wooded and camper sights. They even have some walk-in sights near the lake.
