If you need a site to stay Quality Inn Gran-View is a great choice, and Sawyer Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby. Through the long summer days here at Mud Pond, high temperatures regularly reach the 80's, and the night is somewhat chillier of course, commonly in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Mud Pond       fall into the 0's. From a precipitation point of view Mud Pond is a pretty normal location; most of the rain falls through August; the driest of the months is February. A great location to camp here at Mud Pond is Camp Carol Camps. Mud Pond is good enough to spend more than a day at, Natural Bridge/Watertown KOA is a good local campground, and Gouverneur Country Club is a brilliant golf course nearby. This lake is so wonderful.
