Go to Mud Pond if you want to go to a nice lake. At Mud Pond during the summertime months highs are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and overnight lows at Mud Pond through the wintertime generally descend into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail, naturally you could also check out Tackawasick Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. Don't forget to take a delightful little trip to Alder Brook; paddling on Poesten Kill River is so
much fun. This lake is so wonderful. Alps Family Campground is a great local campground; a golf course nearby is Burden Lake Country Club. That right there is a load already, but it keeps on going; Mud Pond has it all. Nearby lakes? Sure, Pikes Pond is in the neighborhood of Mud Pond, and everyone nearby loves skiing at Catamount.

 | this is a gREAt campground for people with children. They make you feel great about camping. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking. I would recomended this campground 110 percent!!!!...alps is the most awesome place to camp.they offer everything and anything there. we saw what they did at the 4th of july and the kids loved it. I advice any parents that have have kids to take them there........they WON'T be disapointed... |
