Near Mud Pond you locate a golf course called Mahopac Golf Club, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn MT. KISCO (WESTCHESTER COUNTY) is a great location to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. At Mud Pond you can catch a sight       of Hitchcock Hill, and camping is available at Clarence Fahnestock State Park. A lot of precipitation falls at Mud Pond; May is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is January.
