You'll need more than a day to explore everything Mud Pond has to offer, you can camp at Anchor Motel, and a fine nearby hotel is SKANEATELES SUITES. Be careful coming to Mud Pond, you might not ever wanna go home again. There's so much to do here at Mud Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Syracuse KOA is a glorious place for that, and a fine spot close by is Cat Hollow. For the period of the warm       months here at Mud Pond, high temperatures mostly get into the 70's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 30's; nighttime lows during the wintertime for Mud Pond tend to be in the 10's. The friendly people of Auburn like to hang out close by; if you're a golfer then a magnificent close by course is Millstone Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Owasco River is a great whitewater spot next to Mud                  Pond, and Preston Hill is a peak you can see from Mud Pond.
