Throughout the summertime at Mud Pond temperatures are usually in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's, and night lows at Mud Pond during the wintertime commonly drop into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into       a kayak and hit Oswegatchie River - Middle Branch, and why not camp at Moose River Camp Grounds since you're here at Mud Pond. Mud Pond gets a common amount of annual rainfall; the wettest month of the year is mostly August, that's the one that rains the most, and February is when it's the driest. Get drenched paddling on Beaver River, and if you've had enough of Mud Pond, Clear Pond is nearby. Don't forget to take a good little trip to Roaring Brook, and                  you can have a good hiking adventure along the Post Henderson Trail. And if that's not sufficient, there's loads more to do right next door to Mud Pond.
