Mud Pond is a nice lake to visit. Mud Pond gets much water; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is February. Mud Pond is one of the lakes here in the Adirondack Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Knights Inn Little Falls; you can never get enough of the magnificent skiing at McCauley Mountain.
You simply have to like the Adirondack Mountains. Hiking along the Twin Lakes Trail is glorious fun,

| | and in the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Black River - South Branch. Not far from Mud Pond, you'll stumble on North Lake which is a lovely lake, and there's some flowing water close by, Golden Stair Creek is a stream you can visit while here. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Mud Pond. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and night lows in the 0's | |

These mountains rock, just look at all the entertaining stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. There are other spots here than Mud Pond, for example Little Woodhull Lake, and here at Mud Pond you can see Cool Mountain.
Going for a hike along the Stone Dam Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and why not camp at Nicks Lake Campgrounds since you're here at Mud Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Have a fine hiking adventure
along the Party Trail.
Just can't get enough of Mud Pond. Black River has a glorious whitewater paddling spot nearby, and if you came for an overnight stay OLD Forge Camping Resort is a brilliant location to camp.
