     Mud Pond is always a pleasure to visit. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. Bluff Point is in the vicinity of Mud Pond and is a great spot to have a look at; hiking is a popular thing to do around Mud Pond; Northville Lake Placid Trail is a splendid local trail. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors THE HOTEL SARANAC is a fine site to spend a night or two, and camping at Tioga Point State Campground is always  
   a great experience.
Mud Pond is a relatively wet place generally with much rainfall; all through August this area sees the most rain; February is when it's the driest. No need to travel far to stop by interesting stuff like Castle Rock, and there's some flowing water nearby, East Inlet Brook is a stream you can stop at while you're here. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! The Adirondack Mountains rules! If you get bored of Mud Pond, you could also
 
               have a look at nearby Blue Mountain Lake; if you came to camp Whispering woods is a good place to do that.
Yep, outdoors amusing stuff to do are beyond doubt bountiful here at Mud Pond. Soar down the rapids of Raquette River in a kayak; from Mud Pond you get a splendid panorama of Peaked Mountain. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors amusing things the Adirondack Mountains has to offer. If you come at the right time of year, Cedar River offers some good whitewater, and the Sucker Brook Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful.
Through the summer months at Mud Pond highs are usually in the 70's. All through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Mud Pond.
