Mud Pond is a good spot of typical precipitation; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is January. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Mud Pond has to offer, you can camp at Camp Cherokee, and you'll most likely meet some folks from Malone       here.
