Why not camp at Camp Cherokee while you're here at Mud Pond; after a long day outdoors Woodlake Inn is a great place to spend a night or two. Throughout the months of summer at Mud Pond highs are frequently in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. Meacham Lake Outlet for all you thrill seekers. This lake is so wonderful. Some nearby water includes Dan Brook, and get your heart pumping on the brilliant whitewater of Salmon River. An average amount of rain falls at Mud Pond;
most of the rain falls all through August; the driest month is January. If you're visiting Mud Pond from Malone, you won't be the only one, and not far from Mud Pond you'll come across Baker Pond which is a wonderful lake. There's
no way anyone can get bored here in the Adirondack Mountains. Donaldson George A and Sons is a delightful local campground, and if you need a spot to stay THE HOTEL SARANAC is a fine choice.
