Mud Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. And if that's not enough there's a lot more amusing things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. While you're here at Mud Pond you will meet lots of folks from close by Plattsburgh; get covered with water paddling on Ausable River. High temperatures at Mud Pond all through the long summer days are in the 70's, and the nighttime is slightly colder

| | of course, ordinarily in the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's while Mud Pond nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. At Mud Pond you can spot Cassidy Mountain; a great nearby hotel is Econo Lodge Plattsburgh. Port Kent Golf Course; you can stay the night at Ausable River Campsite. A lake nearby is Butternut Pond; after a long day outdoors Plattsburgh-Days Inn is a perfect place to spend a night or two. But wait, there's more to do
near Mud Pond. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Mud Pond has to offer, you can camp at Au Sable Chasm Koa Kampground, naturally you could also take a look at Clark Pond since you're here; it's not far at all. This
lake is so wonderful. It's a good idea to check out Cassidy Brook, it's in the vicinity of Mud Pond, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Boquet River - North Branch. Mud Pond gets a typical amount of yearly rain; through August this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
