A visit to Mud Pond is always a good idea. This lake is so wonderful. Ausable River has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot nearby; here at Mud Pond you can spot Cassidy Mountain. Mud Pond is one of the lakes here in the Adirondack Mountains. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Adirondack Mountains. If you need a place to stay Plattsburgh-Days Inn is a good choice, and don't forget to take a tremendous little tour to Cassidy Brook.

| | Mud Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Mud Pond. Port Kent Golf Course is a great golf course nearby; whitewater paddling is good on Boquet River - North Branch. Yep, outdoors fun things truly is bountiful here in the Adirondack Mountains. Now, you may feel that's plenty but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Mud Pond. Mud Pond is a place with many visitors from Plattsburgh. You'll
need more than a day to look at everything Mud Pond has to offer, you can camp at Au Sable River Campsite. Dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Plattsburgh, and if you've had enough of Mud Pond, Butternut Pond is close by. Mud Pond
is a good place of common rain; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
