This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Lost Pond Trail is always a great adventure, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Putnam Creek. All year is a great time in the Adirondack Mountains if you like the outdoors. The Bear Pond Trail is a great hiking trail near Mud Pond, and why not camp at Brookwood Park Campsite since       you're here at Mud Pond. The annual rainfall here at Mud Pond is about average; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Near Mud Pond you find the Clear Pond Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail; there's whitewater on Mill Creek for all you adrenaline people. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Mud Pond while nighttime lows are frequently in the 50's. The                  winter brings highs down to the 20's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Mud Pond plunge into the 0's. So much fun stuff to do here at Mud Pond, too perfect to be true. Lakes are such serene places, why not pop by Penfield Pond next to Mud Pond, and while you're here you must stop at Crown Point Bay. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent site to camp here at Mud Pond is Brookwood RV Resorts. A pretty lake like Cedar Bridge Pond next to Mud Pond is a nice site to take a look at, and a perfect close by hotel is Best Western Ticonderoga Inn & Suites. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. So much exciting stuff to do here in the Adirondack Mountains, too good to be true.
