    Why not stop by Mud Pond if you're passing through these parts. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Gore Mountain if you're here, and you can have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Oregon Trail. Throughout the summertime months at Mud Pond highs are frequently in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and nighttime  
   lows during the winter for Mud Pond tend to be in the 0's.
Hiking along the Sucker Brook Trail is brilliant fun, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Clear Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Mud Pond is a good spot to visit for more than one day, Cedar Pond Campground is a good spot to camp nearby. Lakes? Sure, Corner Pond is in the neighborhood. If you want a brilliant time in the great outdoors just come on up to the
 
               Adirondack Mountains. You can see Big Pisgah Mountain from Mud Pond, and do take a hike on the Northville Lake Placid Trail.
An average amount of rainfall falls at Mud Pond; the wettest month of the year is generally August, that's the one that rains the most, and February meanwhile is the driest month. These mountains rock, just explore all the entertaining stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Get drenched paddling on Cedar River. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Mud Pond has to offer, you can camp at Hoss's Country Campground. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Paddling on Indian River is so much fun, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Mountain Lake Inn.

Not sure where Plumley's Point is but I hiked the Northville Lake Placid trail about 4 or 5 miles north from Long Lake village and it was fairly well maintained (just a little overgrowth). At one point the trail runs into a bog/pond and the wooden planks are flooded over. You must make a detour to the left and bushwack to some rocks to cross (hiked June 09)...8/14/09 I'm wondering if anyone knows the trail conditions for the Northville Lake Palcid trail from Long Lake village to near Plumley's Point-...
