You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Gore Mountain if you're here, and you can have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Oregon Trail. Adirondack Mountains. You can see Big Pisgah Mountain from Mud Pond, and do take a hike on the Northville Lake Placid Trail. An average amount of rainfall falls at Mud Pond; the wettest month of the year is generally August, that's
the one that rains the most, and February meanwhile is the driest month. These mountains rock, just explore all the entertaining stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Get drenched paddling on Cedar River. You'll need more than
a day to look at everything Mud Pond has to offer, you can camp at Hoss's Country Campground. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Paddling on Indian River is so much fun, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Mountain Lake Inn. This lake is so wonderful.

 | 10 miles away Not sure where Plumley's Point is but I hiked the Northville Lake Placid trail about 4 or 5 miles north from Long Lake village and it was fairly well maintained (just a little overgrowth). At one point the trail runs into a bog/pond and the wooden planks are flooded over.
