This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Big Pond; a delightful nearby hotel is Hilltop Motel. Now, you may think that's loads but there's even more amusing things to do here in the Adirondack Mountains. The Weston Trail offers hiking at its best, and if you need a spot to stay Park Motor Inn is a magnificent choice. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful.       At Mud Pond through the summer months highs are in the 70's while overnight lows are commonly in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's; overnight lows in the 0's for Mud Pond. Mud Pond is right by the Stimson Trail, and golf can be played at Westport Country Club. Take a side spree to Church Brook, and a good place to camp here at Mud Pond is Magic Pines Family Camp Grounds. Mud Pond gets a normal amount of yearly rainfall; August is the month                  that gets the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. And if that's not sufficient there's heaps more exciting things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Take a hike on the Leach Trail, and camping is available at Barber Homestead Park. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! Mud Pond is unbeatable! The summit of Hood Mountain can be spotted from Mud Pond, and everyone loves The Plains. This lake is so wonderful.
