A fine swamp in close proximity to Mud Pond is McGrae Swamp; there is a glorious hiking trail close by called the Leach Trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. Camping is available at Magic Pines Family Camp Grounds; Mud Pond is not the only place nearby, Ore Bed Pond is a nearby lake. And that's not all the things to do here in the Adirondack Mountains. Boquet       River is a pleasant whitewater spot in the vicinity of Mud Pond, and the Stimson Trail is a wonderful hiking trail nearby. If you need a site to stay Microtel Inn & Suites Plattsburgh is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant trip to The Plains is a glorious way to spend an afternoon, and if you get bored of Mud Pond you could also check out close by Big Pond. Mud Pond gets a common amount of annual rain; of all the months in a year August                  is the one with the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Camp Normandie while you're here at Mud Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Basin Harbor Club. Church Brook is a scenic stream that is worth taking a look at; if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Weston Trail. All through the warmest time of the year, highs typically are in the 70's at Mud Pond. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's, and overnight lows at Mud Pond during the wintertime generally descend into the 0's. Yep, outdoors amusing stuff to do are truly plentiful here at Mud Pond.
