Many people like to go to Mud Pond. High temperatures at Mud Pond during the summertime months are in the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Mud Pond. The amount of rainfall that falls at Mud Pond is close to the national average; most of the rain falls during August; the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. There's wonderful hiking

This lake is so wonderful. The summit of Hood Mountain can be distinguished from Mud Pond; enjoy a round of golf at Westport Country Club. But wait, there's more enjoyable things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Good hiking is available along the Weston Trail, and a fine swamp close to Mud Pond is McGrae Swamp. Plattsburgh is a tremendous spot to get some rest. There's so much to do here at Mud Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Magic Pines Family Camp Grounds is a glorious spot for that.
Having a fine time in the Adirondack
Mountains is easy. Paddling on Boquet River is so much fun; if you came to camp Camp Normandie is a brilliant place to do that. This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. A great close by hotel is Basin Harbor Club;
The Plains is a good place to stretch your legs a bit.
Getting to Church Brook from Mud Pond is uncomplicated; the Leach Trail offers hiking at its best.
