For the duration of the summer months, highs typically are in the 70's at Mud Pond, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's while Mud Pond night low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's. If you like the outdoors you'll       like it here in the Adirondack Mountains. Westport Country Club is a golf course in the vicinity of Mud Pond, and a great nearby hotel is Basin Harbor Club. Near Mud Pond you discover the Stimson Trail which is a good hiking trail. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things in the Adirondack Mountains. If you came to camp Camp Normandie is a good location to do that; get your pulse rate up on the good whitewater of Boquet River.                  This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Leach Trail is always a fine adventure, of course you could also stop at Ore Bed Pond since you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. A lake nearby is Big Pond, and some of the water close by flows, like Church Brook. A visit to The Plains revitalizes the soul, and the sight of Hood Mountain is delightful. Mud Pond beyond doubt is in the middle of a delightful outdoors paradise. The Weston Trail is a brilliant hiking trail next to Mud Pond. There's so much to do here at Mud Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Magic Pines Family Camp Grounds is a tremendous place for that. This lake is so wonderful.
