The high level of rain makes Mud Pond a quite wet spot; during the month of May you get the most rain around here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Through the days of summer at Mud       Pond temperatures are usually in the 80's; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's with temperatures at Mud Pond dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights. All year is a nice time in the Catskill Mountains if you love the outdoors. The views at Upper Delaware Scenic & Recreational River will blow your mind. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Roscoe Campsites,                  and a great location for whitewater paddling is Callicoon Creek - North Branch. Rodgers Hill can be made out from Mud Pond; if you need a spot to stay Red Rose Motel is a pleasant choice. So much enjoyable stuff to do here in the Catskill Mountains, too pleasant to be true.
