A good place to camp here at Mud Pond is North Pole Campground, and there's whitewater on Saranac River for all you adrenaline junkies. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Birch Tree Lodge is a tremendous spot to get some rest, and camping at Douglas Corp Of Silver Lake is always a great experience. For the duration of the days of summer at Mud Pond highs are commonly in the 70's; the night is quite       cooler of course, ordinarily in the 50's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Mud Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Mud Pond you'll perhaps meet some folks from Plattsburgh; hey, Fall Brook is a pleasant local stream. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. Man, is there loads of cool things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. On a nice day                  at Mud Pond you can take a hike along the Silver Lake Mountain Trail. You definitely have to adore the Adirondack Mountains. Whiteface Mountain is a pleasant local ski area, and the Schwartz Trail is a good hiking trail nearby. Mud Pond is a relatively wet place mostly with lots of rainfall; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; February is when it's the driest.
