This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. While you're here at Mud Pond you can take a hike along the Silver Lake Mountain Trail. There's so much to do here at Mud Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Macomb Reservation is a delightful place for that. Now, you may feel that's a heap but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Mud Pond. The skiing at Whiteface Mountain is brilliant,       and here at Mud Pond you can see Big Hill. For the period of the days of summer here at Mud Pond, high temperatures regularly get into the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime highs are regularly in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Mud Pond are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Jay Lodge is a fine choice; get yourself into a kayak and hit Little Black Brook. If you                  want a delightful time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Adirondack Mountains. Get wet paddling on Black River, and Mud Pond is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Au Sable River Campsite is a splendid local campground. These mountains rock, just explore all the cool stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. If the weather is fine here at Mud Pond, you can go for a hike along the Schwartz Trail. Dry warm beds await you at Cloudspin Lodge, and you're sure to run into some wonderful people from Plattsburgh here.
