This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Mud Pond without first going for a hike along the Schwartz Trail. Throughout the summertime months at Mud Pond highs are generally in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures at Mud Pond dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. Macomb Park is a brilliant campground nearby, and a magnificent close by hotel is Econo Lodge Plattsburgh. This lake is so wonderful.
