From a rainfall point of view Mud Pond is a relatively common site; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. Mud Pond is one of the lakes here in the Adirondack Mountains. At Mud Pond through the days of summer highs are in the 70's while night lows are regularly in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Mud Pond.       This lake is so wonderful. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff at Mud Pond. During your journey to Mud Pond you'll meet some people from Plattsburgh for sure, and get your heart beating on the perfect whitewater of Saranac River. So many exciting things to do in the Adirondack Mountains, not sufficient time. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Schwartz Trail; a pleasant location for whitewater paddling is Little Black Brook.                  North Pole Campground is a perfect campground here, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Mud Pond; Silver Lake Mountain Trail is a glorious local trail. This place, the Adirondack Mountains, has so much outdoors cool things.
