At Mud Pond through the long summer days highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. During the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Mud Pond are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Mud Pond you can distinguish Columbe Mountain; there are some great whitewater spots       on Little Black Brook. Mud Pond is one of the lakes here in the Adirondack Mountains. After a long day outdoors Microtel Inn & Suites Plattsburgh is a pleasant location to spend a night or two, and hey, Gotta ski right? Whiteface Mountain is a glorious place to do that. From a precipitation point of view Mud Pond is a relatively common site; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is February. Man, is there                  loads of enjoyable stuff to do right next door to Mud Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Inn & Suites, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Schwartz Trail. That right there is a lot of amusing stuff already but it goes on, the Adirondack Mountains has it all. Have a great hiking adventure along the Silver Lake Mountain Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Saranac River offers some tremendous whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Mud Pond Brook is a glorious local stream, and since you're here, you could also take a look at gorgeous Ore Pond. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things in the Adirondack Mountains.
