Why not camp at North Pole Campground if you're here at Mud Pond; why not take a refreshing hike along the Silver Lake Mountain Trail. Some of the water nearby flows, like Alder Brook, and a brilliant close by hotel is Lakeview Motor Inn. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Mud Pond generally gets a large amount of rain; most of the rain       falls throughout August, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Mirror Lake Inn is a perfect choice, and Whiteface Mountain is a good local ski area. Yeah, come up here to the Adirondack Mountains for a brilliant time. Camping is available at Douglas Corp Of Silver Lake, and if the weather is lovely, you get a wonderful view of Duncan Mountain from Mud Pond. Now, you may feel that's a heap but there's                  even more cool stuff to do here at Mud Pond. Do stop at Dell Pond near Mud Pond, it's a gorgeous lake, and glide down the rapids of Saranac River - North Branch in a kayak. Be careful coming to the Adirondack Mountains, you might not ever want to return home again. Hiking along the McKenzie Pond Trail is nice fun, and there are plenty of folks from Plattsburgh here. High temperatures at Mud Pond all through the summer months are in the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's while Mud Pond overnight low temperatures all through the winter are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Saranac River is so much fun, and do take a hike on the Schwartz Trail.
