If you're going to Mud Pond from Auburn, you won't be the only one, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody       but if it's for you then, we recommend Owasco River. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Mud Pond, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. Throughout the winter the highs are frequently in the 30's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Mud Pond drop into the 10's. Man, is there lots of amusing stuff to do near Mud Pond. Mud Pond gets a common amount of rain; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful.
