Mud Lake is always a pleasure to visit. Days Inn is a good place to get some rest, and skiing at Swain is one of those things you just must do. The amount of rain that falls at Mud Lake is close to the national average; the wettest month of the year is usually June, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is January. | | temperatures dip down into the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Mud Lake. You'll stumble on a lovely lake called Daybrook Pond near Mud Lake; Mud Lake is a brilliant spot to visit for more than one day, Holiday Hill Campground is a brilliant spot to camp nearby. and whitewater paddling is fine on Sugar Creek. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Hornell is a great spot to spend a night or two, and Canaseraga Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot close by.
A wonderful lake like Loon Lake right next door to Mud Lake is a good place to explore; from Mud Lake you acquire a delightful view of Bronson Hill. Tumble Hill Campground is a perfect campground nearby.
