This lake is so wonderful. This is a delightful region for people who like lakes. Fly Pond is a lake close at hand. There's so much to do here at Mud Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Mohawk Campground is a great place for that. Mud Lake gets a common amount of rainfall; through June this area sees the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. Stay the night at Mohawk Camp Ground, and       Best Western Inn Of Cobleskill is a good spot to get some rest. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Mud Lake. Lots of folks from Amsterdam come to Mud Lake, and there are some splendid whitewater spots on West Creek. Very scenic scenery and glorious skiing is what you get at Ski Plattekill, and there's whitewater on West Kill River for all you adrenaline rush seekers. Lakes are delightful; Bear Gulch Pond is a lake that's in close proximity                  to Mud Lake, and if you need a spot to stay Budget Inn is a wonderful choice. Summertime highs at Mud Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 80's, and the night is a tad cooler of course, ordinarily in the 50's.
