This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. Yeah, come here to Mud Lake for a wonderful time. Nearby lakes? Sure, Cranberry Lake is right next door to Mud Lake, and nearby you find the Party Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail. These mountains rock, just look at all the entertaining things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Going for a hike on the Twin Lakes Trail is       always a great adventure, and a magnificent swamp near Mud Lake is Hall Vly. Mud Lake gets a good deal of water; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is February. At Mud Lake all through the days of summer highs are in the 70's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Mud Lake sink into the 0's. The California Trail is a fine hiking trail close to Mud Lake, and get soaked paddling on West Canada Creek - South Branch. This lake is so wonderful.
