High temperatures at Mud Lake through the summertime are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Mud Lake plunge into the 0's. The yearly precipitation here at Mud Lake is about average; during June this area sees the most rain, and January is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful.       Mud Lake is a site with many visitors from Oneonta, and an afternoon playing golf at Otsego Golf Club is always a joy. What a location this is for outdoors people. Don't leave Mud Lake without first going for a hike along the California Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Lake View Motel. Get drenched paddling on Spruce Creek. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Mud Lake has to offer, you can camp at Glimmerglass State Park. Mud Lake                  is a nice spot to camp, Ringwood Farms Campground is a nice spot, and paddling on East Canada Creek is so much fun.
