    Mud Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Mud Lake is one of the lakes here in the Adirondack Mountains. A good deal of rain falls at Mud Lake; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is February. Sacandaga River - Middle Branch has a delightful whitewater paddling spot nearby, and Mud Lake is a pleasant place to camp, Ranch Side Park is a pleasant place.
Summer at Mud Lake comes with high
 
   temperatures in the 70's; the night is rather cooler of course, mostly in the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Mud Lake sink into the 0's. Now, you may believe that's a load but there's even more amusing stuff to do here in the Adirondack Mountains. A day at Moffit Beach close to Mud Lake is time well spent, and hey, Burnt Place Brook is a nice local stream. Don't try  
               to stop me, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Mud Lake. Whitewater paddling is perfect on Sacandaga River - West Branch; why not take a refreshing hike along the Sucker Brook Trail.
Whohoo, so many entertaining things in one place! The Adirondack Mountains is unbeatable! If you're visiting Mud Lake from Gloversville, you won't be the only one. Lakes are great; Sacandaga Lake is a lake that's near Mud Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Mud Lake is right by the Northville Lake Placid Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You should beyond doubt dedicate some time to Perrys Clearing if you're here at Mud Lake, and camping at Mud Lake is wonderful fun, Pine Lake Campground and RV Park is a wonderful local campground.
Hiking is a popular thing to do around Mud Lake; Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail is a pleasant local trail, and the summit of Davis Mountain can be observed from Mud Lake.
