Mud Lake is located in the Adirondack Mountains. This place, the Adirondack Mountains, has so much outdoors fun things. Perrys Clearing is a great location to check out, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not go to Lake Sound. Mud Lake is a wet site that gets lots of rainfall; most of the rain falls through August while February is frequently the driest month. If you adore the outdoors you'll adore it here in the Adirondack       Mountains. Go for a hike on the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail, and during your trip here you'll meet some folks from Gloversville for sure. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Mud Lake with night lows in the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are frequently in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Mud Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Sacandaga River - West Branch for all you adrenaline junkies;                  you'll hit upon a picturesque lake called Sacandaga Lake. That right there is a lot already, but it keeps on going; Mud Lake has it all. At Mud Lake you can make out Davis Mountain; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Sacandaga River - Middle Branch. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Mud Lake has to offer, you can camp at Pine Lake Campground and RV Park, and Moffit Beach is quite nearby if you're in a beach type of mood. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Mud Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Ranch Side Park is a pleasant site for that, and don't leave Mud Lake without first going for a hike along the Sucker Brook Trail.
