If you are in Hamilton county it's always a good idea to stop by Mud Lake. Mud Lake is a relatively wet place generally with a lot of rainfall; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Ranch Side Park is a perfect spot to camp, and a lake nearby is Sacandaga Lake.
Why not camp at Pine Lake Campground and RV Park if you're here at Mud Lake; getting

to Burnt Place Brook from Mud Lake is uncomplicated. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Adirondack Mountains. Get dripping wet paddling on Sacandaga River - West Branch; the fine people of Gloversville like to hang out close by.
All through the days of summer, highs regularly are in the 70's at Mud Lake. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down

to the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Mud Lake drop into the 0's. Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! Mud Lake rules! Whitewater paddling is brilliant on Sacandaga River - Middle Branch, and do take a hike on the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail. But wait, there's more cool things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Hiking along the Sucker Brook Trail is great fun, and if you're looking for a beach nearby we recommend Moffit Beach.
Have a great hiking adventure along the Northville Lake Placid Trail, obviously you could also go to Echo Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. The peak of Davis Mountain can be distinguished from Mud Lake, and a pleasant trip to Perrys Clearing is a great way to spend an afternoon.
