    Why not stop by Mud Lake if you're passing through these parts. For the duration of the summer, highs regularly are in the 80's at Mud Lake. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's; nighttime lows at Mud Lake all through the winter typically descend into the 0's. A great site for whitewater paddling right next door to Mud Lake is West Stony Creek, and here at Mud Lake you can see  
   Pinnacle. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Vrooman's Hotel; hey, Goldmine Creek is a perfect local stream.
All the water falling down from the sky makes Mud Lake a wet spot; during November this area sees the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. All the outdoors enjoyable stuff next to Mud Lake will keep you coming back time and again. You'll meet a lot of folks from Gloversville here, and camping is available at Ranch
 
               Side Park. Algonquin Motel is a perfect place to get some rest, and a striking lake like Chase Lake is a fine spot to explore.
You completely must have a thing about the Adirondack Mountains. Don't leave Mud Lake without first going for a hike along the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail. These mountains rock, just explore all the entertaining stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Why not camp at David S Van Santen Day Camp if you're here at Mud Lake, and you can run the rapids of Holmes Lake Outlet. Mud Lake is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains.
