Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn JOHNSTOWN-GLOVERSVILLE, and a magnificent place to camp here at Mud Lake is Rainbows End. Through the summer months highs here at Mud Lake reach the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are typically in the 20's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Mud Lake       sink into the 0's. So much cool stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains, not enough time. Mud Lake is not the only place close by, Woodward Lake is a close by lake, and if you need a place to stay Super 8 Johnstown/Gloversville is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Oregon Trail. Sacandaga Golf Club is a golf course close to Mud Lake, and you can go for a hike on the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail. This lake                  is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Ranch Side Park is always a splendid experience; if you like swamps you're in luck, Tamarack Swamp is right close by. If you get bored of Mud Lake, you could also go to nearby Sacandaga Park Reservoir, and get dripping wet paddling on East Stony Creek. Mud Lake gets a lot of water; November is the wettest month with most rain while February is ordinarily the driest month. This location, the Adirondack Mountains, has so much outdoors fun stuff.
