After a long day outdoors Days Inn Dunkirk - Fredonia is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two, and whitewater paddling is delightful on Chautauqua Creek. This lake       is so wonderful. During your spree to Mud Lake you'll meet some folks from Jamestown-Dunkirk-Fredonia for sure. There's so much to do here at Mud Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Arkwright Hills Campsite is a glorious spot for that. The White Inn is a perfect spot to get some rest, and Lower Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at. Mud Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is September, and the driest                  month is February. For the period of the warmest time of the year here at Mud Lake, high temperatures regularly get into the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's; nighttime lows in the 10's for Mud Lake.
