Mountain Pond mostly gets a lot of precipitation; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February is the month with the least moisture. For the period of the warm days of summer here at Mountain Pond, high temperatures regularly get into the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Mountain Pond       are in the 0's. Yep, outdoors amusing stuff truly is abundant here in the Adirondack Mountains. After a long day outdoors Knights Inn Little Falls is a good place to spend a night or two, and here at Mountain Pond you can spot Big Goldmine Hill. There are other places here than Mountain Pond, for example Franks Pond, and East Canada Creek is a great whitewater spot close by. If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Adirondack                  Mountains. Lakes are such peaceful sites, why not go to Ferris Lake right next door to Mountain Pond. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Rodeway Inn Palatine Bridge is a fine choice, and of course Black Cat Outlet is a stunning stream that is worth checking out. So much fun stuff to do at Mountain Pond, so little time. Crystal Grove Diamond Mine is a delightful campground nearby, and in case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sprite Creek.
