Not far from Mountain Lakes, you'll find Forest Road Lake which is a lovely lake, and if you come at the right time of year, Moodna Creek offers some good whitewater. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun things the area close to Mountain Lakes has to offer. A fine site to camp here at Mountain Lakes is Camp wabenaki, and a day on the slopes of Sterling Forest is just what you need. Valley is a good place to get some rest, and hiking along the Ramapo-Dunderberg Trail is delightful fun. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Mountain Lakes you can take a hike along the Breakneck Ridge Trail; Monroe
Country Club is a great golf course nearby. If you need a spot to stay Hampton Inn Harriman Woodbury is a glorious choice; you can have a great hiking adventure along the Torne Mount Ivy Trail. Summertime at Mountain Lakes arrives
with high temperatures in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Mountain Lakes.
