The sight of Daters Mountain from Mountain Lake is picturesque; drift down the rapids of Popolopen Creek in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. The Pine Meadow Trail offers hiking at its best; Tuxedo Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to. This lake is so wonderful. A good nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Suffern, Ny, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Cannonball Trail. Mountain       Lake regularly gets lots of rainfall; through November this area sees the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. If you want to hit the beach, New Sebago Beach is around here, and great skiing awaits you at Sterling Forest. Through the summertime, highs generally are in the 80's at Mountain Lake. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and during the dark hours in the                  wintertime at Mountain Lake temperatures dip to the 10's. That right there is heaps already, but it goes on; Mountain Lake has it all. Mountain Lake is a splendid site to visit for more than one day, Baker Camp On Lake Sebago is a splendid site to camp nearby; there's some flowing water nearby, Spring Brook is a stream you can pop by while here. A lake close by is Mirror Lake, and a good place to explore is Parker Cabin Hollow. Swamps can be such interesting sites, visit Bog Meadow since you're here at Mountain Lake. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Mountain Lake has to offer, you can camp at Camp wabenaki. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Sheraton Crossroads Hotel is a great choice; hiking is a popular thing to do around Mountain Lake; Kakiat Trail is a perfect local trail. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have fun. Mt. Peter has great slopes and a friendly staff, and Spook Rock Golf Course is a golf course nearby.
